The Perfect Christmas Tree

I spent a full day shopping on Friday so now that means I can listen to Christmas music on the radio and we’ll probably decorate the outside of our house a little but most importantly we picked out our Christmas tree! Soooo many to choose from, we’re not good with important decisions like this so you can only imagine all of our comparing and reasoning.

We found the perfect one – I didn’t even take a picture of it – we left it at the farm because we don’t exactly have room to store it at our house until we’re ready to put up. Here’s Brian trying to convince me we needed the biggest tree.

It looks like a really nice day in these pictures but what you can’t see is me – completely bundled up, the wind was really bitter.

Here’s the big picture…

I can’t take credit for painting the snowman

Bring on winter!

So you won’t have to worry about getting frost bite next time you visit – we’re already above 72 degrees and we’re still saving the planet. Brian finished installing our corn burner this weekend – yes we now burn corn?!

…not cobs of corn – just the kernels

This is sooo much easier than waiting for a tree to die – cutting it down – splitting the logs – stacking the logs – hauling the logs….

Nope, all we have to do is pour in a bucket of corn 🙂

I can’t believe she’s 9 months old already! Next time I get to photograph her I’ll have to wear my running shoes to keep up with her.

The weather didn’t exactly cooperate with us this morning but we improvised and made it work! Here are a few quick shots.

This past Saturday I spent some time with Courtney. Despite a little chill in the early morning air it didn’t take long for this energetic 6 year old to warm up! She has so much personality and a giggle that is absolutely contagious.

Thanks Courtney – for such a fun morning!
